In the center of town there lies the shopping plaza where the bakery and the grocery are. These markets are ran by common Valére of various sub-races.

As the sun gleamed across the marble and cobblestone walkways of Ragnael, Dacre allowed himself to explore the splendor of the White District. As shallow as it sounded, he rarely ventured into the Red or Green Districts. He had been advised against it due to the dangers of assassinations and other various crimes being committed against him. The Jengu stopped in front of the place of worship, where many payed homage to the Goddess. There were no teachings, no records even, of her existence, just legends and stories that had been passed down through royal lines since the beginning of the Valére civilization. There were of course people who thought to seek her out in the Cave of Light, at the southernmost tip of the continent, but they had never returned or sent information back if they did find her. Dacre himself did not even believe in her existence. The idea that she existed was a possibility but it was irrational to think of her as alive or even in the now. She would be dead of course.

As he walked, the teen's tight black pants ruffled together at the bottom, where they flared out a bit. His teal, low cut V neck shirt also stood out in the crowd. Being the Pendant, he could wear whatever he pleased so long as the Willow Elder did not find it offensive. While they were equals, they had more knowledge and it would be considered disrespectful to go against their wishes. A small silver skeleton key hung around his neck on a thin, radiant silver chain. Looking around, he noticed it was a quiet morning. Many of the people were probably out working or inside the worship place. He decided to go into the clothing store, which was right next to the library.

A perfect medley of leather, taffeta, silk and sparkle met a mirror, just before Kaida's own gaze combed the image for any minor imperfection. Her fingers smoothed the slightest wrinkle in quick, efficient movements, allowing Kaida to step back. She knew she looked good- her style was eclectic, as always, and especially today, reflected her inner confidence. Put in prose, she looked and felt damn sexy. Still, it was in a more casual way that her usual style: her usual style was more ice and angles, whilst the colors she wore now were warm and rather casual.

Kaida put down a braided bracelet in favor of a belt, her eyes skimming the products with her usual efficiency. She didn't need to buy much- her clothing was all purchased with the intention of creating many different combinations. However, the slight pause she made was more than she would have taken normally, if only for a second. A certain Jengu shopkeeper was watching her a little too carefully, and certainly not in a way that would suggest he was afraid of shoplifting. Kaida appraised him coldly under her eyelashes, deciding he wasn't too much of a threat for now.

However, she still subtly put some distance between them, ensuring there were a few tables in the way as well. Kaida had no urge to deal with or talk to the likes of him until it was time to purchase the belt. She scanned for anything else she might want, and instead spotted a familiar face. "Dacre?" Kaida lilted, leaning slightly against a cabinet. She would have said something sassier, except for that the shopkeep was distracting her. He still did nothing overtly creepy, not enough to actually call him out on, but managed to be ominous all the same.

Upon entering the store, a subtle mixture of lavender and jasmine filled his nostrils, apparent by his instant relax in his facial features. He noticed right off that the sun's ray did not reach within the stores, which almost saddened him. He had longed for the sun almost all winter. Now that it was almost over, he greatly wished for it to be sunny already. The in between irritated him.

Dacre smiled, despite this fact, looking over to the left side of the store. The entire wall was full of black jackets, none of which appealed to him aside from one at the top. It was a thicker jacket, with wolf fur threaded throughout it's sleeves and trim. Dacre respected their society; the rules of killing animals were simple: kill only if attacked or for food. Any fur used was from an already dead animal. His steps around the shopkeeper were gentle and he nodded to the fellow Jengu. Their tan skin set them apart in Ragnael, but every individual varied greatly. The shopkeeper did look rather distracted though, as he did not cusomarily nod or even make a notion that the Pendant had walked in. It was rather arrogant of him and Dacre didn't care much for the rules anyway.

Dacre walked away from the jackets, almost wanting it, but deciding against it. It would be too warm to wear it soon anyway. He walked around the island of tables used for dining. (This store also sold some snacks and beverages.) Hearing his name shook him away from trying to find some decent summer clothes. He turned, noticing Kaida. "Oh Kaida. What are you doing here? Looking for some new spring apparel eh?" He managed a wink and his warm eyes seemed to smile as well. He'd distract himself for awhile. It was always best to do so.
